If an engineer calls or you are asked to help an engineer on the Dynamics app, this is one of the most common issues they report and below is what to advise them.

Issue: Sync errors on the app

Advice to Engineer:

The best way to clear down any sync errors is to ‘Delete Data’ on the app. This resets the database. It is always best to sync the device before doing this, to make sure anything worked on since the last sync is saved and sent back to the system.

To carry out the ‘Delete Data’ function, follow the below steps:

  • Sync device
  • Go to Setup on the app
  • Scroll down to the bottom, where you see Delete Data
  • Press Click Here
  • When the prompt comes up, click Delete Data
  • Once it shows that the Database has been deleted, Sync the device

Once this has been done, review the bookings that are still outstanding and potentially re-key in some of the information on the ones that had the errors.
