Adding Apple Apps into MDM is a bit different


  1. Sign into https://business.apple.com/
  2. Go to "Apps and Books"
  3. Search for the app you need.
  4. Where Apple is different is that you have to set the quantity for each app. For example if we had 5 Apple devices which needed a copy of Adobe Reader then we need to "purchase" 5 copies. I normally set to 20 for now to get us by.
  5. After pressing Get on the ABM portal we need to now sync it on our MDM system.
  6. Navigate to Device Management > App Repository > Apple App Management. Then press the sync button.
  7. You can then deploy that new app as you normally would by going to Device Management > Groups and Devices > Tick the Apple Device > Click Action > Distribute app and select from there.
